My name is Ceri Peacey
Ceri (sounds like “Kerry”.) I would love to assist you as you mark your life’s milestones. I am a certified Lifecycle Celebrant with the Celebrant Foundation & Institute – trained in both weddings and funerals and able to create and facilitate a ceremony for whatever life change comes your way. I am also certified in funerals with In-Sight Institute as a Life Tribute Professional. I am an ordained contemporary spiritual minister with CIMM.
My ethos:
My strength is in storytelling and creating a ceremony that is warm and connecting and often includes laughter and tears. I’m naturally inclusive and honor every story authentically. I believe that love is love and welcome LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, offering ceremonies that reflect your unique journey with care and respect.
All creatures great and small:
On a personal note, I live a rural lifestyle in Hilliers with my husband John and what used to be a posse of cats and dogs – all passed on as of December 2023. However, a bossy cat adopted us shortly after our last dog’s passing, and in 2024 we rescued a beautiful dog and now our land is festooned with “beware of dog” signs.
Based on the keen grief I felt when our last dog passed, I hosted a group Ceremony of Remembrance for pets who had passed on. It was bittersweet but beautiful – especially to see the looks in the eyes of fellow animal lovers. I am currently taking a course in becoming a grief coach for pet loss.
My side passion:
Nature: I totally love forests and wetlands and spend a huge amount of time raising awareness about the importance of preserving Hamilton Marsh and the forest that surrounds it. Please check out our website by clicking the link: Hamilton Marsh.

Life-Cycle Celebrants® are masterfully trained in the art of ritual and ceremony. They are skilled ceremony officiants who perform and co-create customized ceremonies for weddings, funerals, and other life events, that reflect the needs, beliefs and values of the people they are honouring.
Weddings
Certified Lifecycle Celebrants® are here for everyone. As a Certified Lifecycle Wedding Celebrant I take the time to get to know you. I am certified by the Celebrant Foundation and Institute embraces a statement of ethics and a commitment to ensure that all couples have a positive, supportive experience from the moment you contact us to the day you say “I do”.
I’ll work with you to build a custom wedding ceremony that’s completely tailored to fit you and your love. I welcome your story and will honour and celebrate it wholly.
Funerals & Ceremonies of Remembrance
In collaboration with you and your family, I will carefully craft a eulogy and create a ceremony with music, quotes, readings, unique symbols and rituals. No ceremony is delivered unless every detail of the eulogy is checked and approved by the family.
With compassion, sincerity and great care, I will officiate the ceremony at the funeral home, crematorium, cemetery or memorial location of your choice.
Milestones
Celebrants perform many kinds of ceremonies for families and children, including baby namings and welcomings, ceremonies for adoptive families, coming of age celebrations for adolescents and ceremonies marking birthdays, graduations, family reunions and more.
Welcoming ceremonies for new family members, whether by birth, adoption or marriage, have existed in virtually every culture and country. Publicly marking the entry of new members into our families is perhaps one of the most joyous celebrations we can share, and acknowledging our responsibilities to our children one of the most serious commitments we can undertake.
